Sri Lanka was similar to Indonesia, yet more sublime and subtle.  A very compact island, yet beset, for many years, with violence  due to the small, but aggressive, Tamil population. It's calm now, yet, anger and old memories continue to persist.  Beautiful, graceful people who immerse themselves in their culture and nature.  Kind, generous and open to sharing new ideas.
